This question raises the heads of many who are dog owners and those who are not. The image that may come to mind for most is probably any large dog breeds such as pit bulls, rottweilers, dobermans, and more. There have been many terrible incidents about aggressive dogs attacking kids. However, what most people don't understand is that you cannot blame the animal, but rather the owner. The emotions and feelings of a dog owner are reflected through their canine. The training of one from puppy to dog is greatly affected by how the owner feels and treats his or her pet.
The Pit bull
This particular breed is what brings up a lot of attention from people. The pit bull has a big head with a broad jaw. He has thick muscles and is a very stocky yet agile dog. They have short hair and some (the blue nosed pitbull) have beautiful blue eyes. The red nosed pitbull has a fawn colored short haired coat. These dogs are loving and gentle giants!
As you know I love dogs as much as you do, and I used to have 2 rottweilers growing up. I totally agree with you and whenever people say that its the breed I want to lecture them on how its not the dog. You should do a post on rotties next :) ps this is by far my favorite blog
ReplyDeleteI used to think pitbulls were mean dogs just from personal experience but I never thought about the fact that it isn't their fault and its the owners!
ReplyDeleteI think some dogs are really misjudged just like Pitbulls! When they can be pretty sweet! I think all dogs are cute and it's they deserve to all be loved equally. :)
