The Wolf of Wall Street - Movie Review
The Golden Globe winning film ¨The Wolf of Wall Street" is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort from his rise to a wealthy penny stockbroker living the fast life to his downfall involving drugs, crime, corruption, and the federal government. Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio partners up with his friend Donnie Azoff, played by Jonah Hill, and creates a brokerage firm Stratford-Oakmont. They start off with 20 employees which quickly grows to 250. They quickly draw attention through the public and soon the FBI. They throw extravagant and crazy parties whenever they'd hit the jackpot of a high trade that was made. Soon enough the FBI has Belfort and the rest of his company arrested for fraud. This leads to Belfort serving federal prison for 36 months.
